ABOUT LITTLE BIRDIE
My Little Birdie
Little Birdie Embroidery was born from a legacy of love, faith, and gentle strength. It’s more than thread and fabric—it’s a tribute to my great-grandmother, affectionately known as Granny, whose life continues to guide every stitch I make.
Granny was the most welcoming person you could ever meet. If you loved someone, she loved them too—no questions asked. Her kindness radiated beyond our family, touching friends, neighbors, and even strangers in her small Kansas town. Her home was always open, a place of rest and warmth we lovingly called The Little Green Motel. Whether you needed a hot meal, a listening ear, or just a place to be, Granny made sure you felt like you belonged.
She had a quiet joy for life and a gentle way of noticing beauty in simple things—especially birds. Her favorite bird was the cardinal, and she loved to watch them outside her window. She even had a bird clock that chirped a different song each hour, filling her home with their cheerful presence. Now, whenever I see a cardinal, it feels like a little message from her—reminding me of her love, her faith, and her unshakable warmth.
Granny taught me to embroider, not just with my hands but with my heart. She showed me that the most meaningful things are made slowly, with care. Every piece I create is a reflection of that—handmade with intention, like a whispered prayer or a warm embrace.
Over time, I’ve come to see Granny as my little birdie—a guardian angel watching over me. And just like the cardinal, often seen as a sign from heaven, I believe her spirit is never far. She lives on in every design, in every gentle detail, and in the heart behind this brand.
Our work at Little Birdie Embroidery is rooted in the quiet power of faith. We are guided by Hebrews 1:14:
"Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?"
Through each design, we hope to offer more than a product—we hope to offer a feeling: of being seen, held, and loved. May every stitch serve as a reminder that beauty can bloom in quiet places and that no one is ever truly alone.
